A vibrant identity for a homegrown and homemade Italian pasta restaurant specializing in seafood pasta and a curated wine selection.

Creative Brief

The restaurant menu was designed within specific constraints, using only four colors and relying solely on imagery and icons. The logo and other graphic elements were created to highlight the restaurant’s values and Italian heritage.

Approach

The menu design incorporates eye-catching illustrations inspired by the colors of the Italian flag, creating a memorable experience for clients while reflecting Italian cuisine.

The octopus’s tentacles not only represent the restaurant’s seafood specialty but also contribute to its distinctive identity. Graphics of pasta, like penne and spaghetti, are used as frames to highlight the restaurant’s pasta offerings.

Impact

The overall design is crafted with striking visual appeal, suitable for all audience members, especially families with young children.

The menu reflects Italian heritage while combining traditional styles with new dishes.

Basiliziosa - Italian Restaurant Menu Design — Basiliziosa - Pasta Menu

Basiliziosa is a fictional Italian restaurant and its name uses a combination of Italian words "Basilico" (Basil) and "Deliziosa" (Delicious).
This place ideally uses specially-sourced organic ingredients, wild-caught seafood, and homemade pasta.
The goal of this project is to develop a few pages menu and use a few colors inspired by Psychedelic and Art Nouveau elements to get attention from pasta and seafood enthusiasts.
