Ethereal Environments

Immersive Design, Spatial Experience & Worldbuilding

A collection of interactive & immersive visuals, gamified mockups, digital worldbuilding, and Ethereal VR Environments. Currently evolving the future of interactive storytelling through Mixed Reality environments and virtual & ethereal landscapes.

Ethereal Garden (WIP)

This immersive experience allows the audience to use headset to step into a curated, otherworldly environment. Serving as a foundation for a new worldbuilding project, it explores the intersection of nature, elaborate animation, and digital storytelling.

The 'Total Work of Art' through The Seven Seas.

This is a gamified virtual model of "The Seven Seas" installation. Audiences can explore the space, interact with objects, and complete quests. This project is built to grow into a much larger virtual open world.

Beyond the game, this ethereal landscape serves as a working prototype for architects and project partners. It allows everyone to visualize and experience the installation much faster than traditional 3D models. Inside this world, users can "drag and drop" or work with designers to move objects and test different designs in real time. It offers a look at the future of construction, where we build digitally first to save time and money.

The Seven Seas is a world‑building and experiential design project that combines research with multiple creative practices, evolving my previous work to new levels. It explores myths, symbols, and systems, transforming these ideas into visual and interactive forms. The project constructs an entire universe through characters, invented languages, maps, typefaces, animations, motion graphics, soundscapes, costumes, interactive installations, and mixed realities. Together, these elements create a "total work of art" in which each piece transcends the whole, pushing graphic design into new realms.

NOTE:

Due to a high volume of files and diverse creative practices, the page for 'The Total Work of Art Through The Seven Seas' is being carefully crafted for an upcoming online exhibition. Please stay tuned!

The Neon Sea: A Total Work of Art.

An entrancing virtual world filled with millions of colors and glowing objects. In this region of The Seven Seas, users can experience neon waves, underwater fire, dazzling particles, phosphorescent vortices, swirling lights, and hypnotic organisms. By wearing a VR headset, they enter a place where physical and digital worlds collide. This is a long-term project designed to be a "total work of art," a massive installation that pushes the limits of graphic design, technology, and what a virtual environment can be.

The Neon Sea: Sound-Triggered Sculpture

This is a small prototype of an interactive sculpture and costume design from "The Seven Seas" project. It uses motion and sound sensors to automatically trigger glowing LED lights. These lights mimic a neon underwater world from a region of "The Seven Seas." This model shows how a large-scale, mesmerizing installation could work in a permanent gallery or a pop-up show.

The Neon Sea: Experiential Center Mockup

This mockup demonstrates how The Neon Sea: Sound-Triggered Sculpture blends into an immersive experience center designed to showcase various interactive neon lights, physical mediums, and objects throughout the space.

Curating The Seven Seas: A Total Work of Art in White-Box Space

This showcase visualizes how the sculptures, motion graphics, soundscapes, costumes, interactive installations, and mixed realities of "The Total Work of Art Through The Seven Seas" inhabit a white-box space.

NIMEC0: The Nectarist Institute of Melittology and Environmental Conservation.

Set against a 300-year horizon of extreme planetary change, this speculative design and gamified virtual experience envisions a world where scientists and bee experts protect Earth’s remaining native bee colonies. Enclosed within the gargantuan, controlled greenhouses of the NIMECO sphere, the project explores engineered habitats, climate resilience, and the future of ecological preservation through interactive worldbuilding.

Nectarist: Virtual Launch Party.

This is a virtual store and event for "Nectarist," a brand for bee-inspired products. Inspired by the style of SimCity, users can explore a digital party and buy real honey-related products that get delivered to their door. Created during the post-COVID era, this project shows how we can still gather for fun events and shop together, even when we can't meet in person.

UrbanBuzz: Transforming NYC into a Native Bee Haven.

This game prototype explores the 'last bumblebee' scenario through a lens of spatial and environmental empathy. To mirror the real-world difficulties of conservation, the experience features a massive, open-world environment where players may spend hours tracking the final colony. Developed as a centerpiece for medium- to large-scale installations, the project translates the urgency of saving our pollinators into an interactive journey.

Hover your cursor to guide the last colony of bumblebees.

'The Last Colony of Bumblebees' is an interactive prototype that is part of a larger art display, highlighting how important bees are to our environment. By moving your mouse, you guide the bees across the screen. While currently a focused prototype, the concept is designed to be expanded in the future into a multi-level experience that blends fun gameplay with environmental education for younger generations.

This concept illustration outlines the spatial layout for 'UrbanBuzz: Transforming NYC Into a Native Bee Haven,' a medium-scale immersive exhibition. Designed to highlight why protecting native species is vital for sustaining local food webs, urban biodiversity, and fragile ecosystems, the layout maps out several distinct zones. These include native plant displays alongside an apiary, interactive media stations, a central vivarium mimicking natural bee habitats, a virtual experience area, and a motion graphics display wall built from stacked screens.
